Meet Us

  • Katie Spragg

    MSW, LISW-S, Owner & Founder

I have been a licensed social worker for over 25 years. I have extensive experience working in the social work field in a variety of areas including child welfare, working with the elderly population and working in a hospital setting. A large portion of my career has been working in the adoption field working with expectant mothers, adoptive families and adoptees. During my time working in adoption, I was faced with individuals and families that were struggling with mental illness, addiction issues and trauma histories. It has been a passion of mine to work with birth parents and adoptive parents to achieve their goals and have their voices be heard.

Upon obtaining my Master’s degree in Social Work from Wright State University in 2017, I began working in community mental health. I have had the privilege to help clients in a variety of problem areas including depression, anxiety, work and family stress, trauma, and relationship struggles. My treatment modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and aspects of mindfulness. I have also completed the certification for Training of Adoption Competency for mental health therapists. After several years of working in community mental health I decided to venture out and start my own private practice to allow me more flexibility and the ability to give clients the quality services that they deserve in their treatment.

I believe that every human can change and grow and finding your “KEY TO RECOVERY” can be life changing, empowering and will lead to a more peaceful and fulfilling life. Every client that I work with is given the opportunity to create a unique treatment plan designed to heal the struggles they are faced with. I consider it a privilege to assist you in your recovery goals.

  • Aimee Highley

MSW, LSW, Outpatient and School-based clinician

Throughout my 10+ years in the behavioral health field I have had lots of different job opportunities and experiences. Without a doubt each and every one of these job opportunities and experiences have taught me lots about myself, life and others. Without a doubt each of them have shaped me to be the clinician that I am today and equipped me with skills and knowledge to assist you and/or your child to improving quality of life.I started my career in the behavioral health field as a case manager. This provided me with multiple different opportunities to navigate various systems that a family or child works with. This has helped me to advocate for others and ensure that their needs are met. I often worked with children that had challenging behaviors and found myself feeling helpless with limited knowledge and experience.

I then decided to further my education at Wright State University and obtain my masters degree in social work. While going to college and working at a community mental health agency I began to hone my skills and knowledge to children and families involved with the child welfare system. I am currently trained in TF-CBT and am a adoption competent mental health therapist and strive to be a voice for the next generation!Raising a child is difficult and having challenging behaviors and struggles with mental health can make it more complex. Let’s work together for future successes!

  • Theresa Mikolajewski

AS, Case manager and parenting extraordinaire

Families and children are my passion! For over 25 years I have had experience working with families and children in various capacities. For 17 years, I assisted and supported preschool age children that have varying degrees of developmental disabilities. While helping the children thrive and prepare for the world that was out there waiting for them, I was also walking beside the parents and caregivers. I wanted the parents to learn to be their children’s biggest cheerleader and to be their children’s biggest advocate for the world! After receiving my associate degree in social work, I began working with preschool aged children and their parents in the home, providing parent coaching and preschool education for the family.

For the past 5 years of my professional career I have assisted and supported individuals who have been diagnosed with a mental health or behavioral health concern through case management services. In loving every aspect of this part of my job, my favorite is working with families that are struggling as a family unit, or who are involved with other agencies or a student struggling in school. But my favorite part of working with families is assisting parents who want or need to learn alternatives to their current way of parenting or to change the mindset regarding appropriate expectations of the children. There is nothing more gratifying than watching a family go from struggle to success and thriving in the community and working together as a team.

To make a difference in someone’s life you don’t have to be brilliant, rich, beautiful or perfect. You just have to care. - Mandy Hale
